Warm and Welcoming

The entrance to the Villa in Tuscany was warm and welcoming even with cement floors.

He's a Corny One

It was one of those moments. Laughter around the kitchen table, a kernal of corn strategically placed on a little rascal's tooth and the saving grace, a request to capture the moment on camera.

Do I want to take your picture? No need to ask me twice. Here's to you little guy. Here's to you!

Teddy Bear Picnic

She came downstairs as happy as could be. Today she was going to take her teddy bear on a picnic.

Her smile said all that needed to be said.

Bumble Bee

He's as cute as can bee.  This morning he wanted donuts which is rather funny because yesterday his daddy wanted to buy donuts but there were no takers.

I was sure his daddy would say no today, but even his daddy couldn't turn this sweet face down.

He came back as excited as can bee. Two of the dozen donuts were yellow glazed bumble bee donuts. One for him and one for his little sister.

He's as sweet as can bee.

We will be brave

Last weekend, Hipstamatic, my favorite camera app, offered up two lens and three film types for FREEEEE!!!! I gobbled them up and took some photos using the lens/film combos. What I didn't realize was the film came with verbiage sprayed at the bottom of the frame.

I took this shot of my brother who flew out from Mississsippi to visit over the weekend. This was taken right before my Pop picked up Vic to take him to the airport. I posted the picture to FB which then created a slew of comments as friends and family thought something was wrong since the verbiage read "We will be brave".

Thankfully, all is good in our household. Thank you dear brother for spending a long weekend with your big sis. I love you LOTS!!! And I miss you already.

Coffee in my cup

I haven't been taking as many morning shots of my breakfast lately. It's  rather funny how something that I did almost every morning suddenly stops happening and I don't even realize it. I blame it on my inability to breathe. Picture taking takes a big back seat when drawing in breath is hard to do.

On this morning, I was sitting comfortably at the kitchen table when I realized I wa able to get out of bed without the need to draw deep breaths. I had to stop what I was doing and praise God. That's when I noticed the beautiful light sitting comfortably across my cup of coffee.

It wasn't the most spectacular light, yet there was something so beautiful about the simplicity of it.
