A Beautiful Wednesday from Start to Finish

A typically morning, somehow made a little lovelier with a pretty mug full of coffee.

The coffee was especially delicious.

Which was a good thing because a mid-morning meeting ran late so I didn't get to stop for lunch on my way to the office. I made up for this by stopping at the Hat on the way home from work.

An order of fries at the Hat can seriously feed a family of ten. Every time I start off wanting (thinking) I can eat the whole order, but I usually barely make a dent.

As if that wasn't enough, I stopped at the Coffee Bean for a mocha in a glass mug before my photography class. Do I feel silly taking pictures of my meals? Sometimes, but I don't let that stop me.

This caught my eye from Brea to Whittier.

And so did this.

At first I couldn't tell what angle was my favorite.

Then I saw my car bathed in sunlight and I got momentarily distracted. I do love my little slug bug.

As I drove off, I caught my favorite of the day.

Anthropologie Tuesday

Lunch was quicker than I would have liked, but I had a meeting I had to get back to.

After work, I headed West to Fashion Island. Anthropologie has become my new love.

Not that I can afford much there. But their stuff is pretty.

I bought a pretty mug, even though I had issued a moratorium against such a thing and keep buying mugs anyway. I saw these canisters with candles inside. It reminded me of my grandmother. I think she would have liked them.

This was lovely too. But $1300.00? I would need to stay in bed forever.

This desk called to me. But at $800.00, I kept on walking.

Not my best shot, but it's a reflection of me.

After day dreaming in Anthropologie, I slummed it at Restoration Hardware. It's another place out of my price range.

Pretty stuff, but I wonder how anyone really affords it.

After ending my dreams at the Apple store, I headed for some Haagen Dazs.

And on the way home stopped for some snaps of my favorite water tower.

Monday Monday

Love the day after a rainstorm.

Even if it means I have to go to the infusion center.

Jesse was so gentle, I didn't even fill the stick today. And the gentleman in the chair next to me was having his last chemo treatment. It made me cry. I know how happy and relieved he must be.

The results of the bone scan were what I was hoping for, but once again I passed up Chris's burgers and the Donut Hole in favor of some chicken I had at home.

When I got home, Belle enjoyed a little sunshine on a new pillow that she found for herself.

And I admired the puffy clouds. Did I mention that I love the day after a rainstorm?

As dusk was falling, I took a walk in old Whittier.

Greenleaf is constantly in a state of decay and rebuilding.

Still the good outweighs the bad.

Sunday Shots

Blood test for tomorrow's transfusion and doctor appointment.

Followed up by some fresh strawberries and ice cream.

Unfortunately the strawberries weren't as sweet and ripe as I had hoped.

I ate the whole thing anyway.

Saturday Snapshots

How I started my day.

Headed to old Orange to look at vintage items and walk around a bit.

Left empty handed because they want too much for "old" objects. Stopped to take a picture of this motel sign which caught my eye.

Then I headed to Santa Ana to scout out a water tower that has been calling me to take its picture. Not the shot I want, but for now it'll do.

After which I went to my dad's for lunch.

Ended the evening with a failed trip into downtown to get some pictures of the city skyline.

Finally Friday

Why I love the hours before sunset.

Begging for pets.

The view in the Heights.
