I've been stuck in a rut. Every morning I wake up with plans for the day...clean my room, write, find my purpose, go out shooting. By 6 or 7pm, I'm done with nothing to show for the day. My room looks the same (messy), my writing almost non-existent, my service null and my photography uninspiring.
My 365 for the last two days are drive by shots of electric poles.
I need to push myself.
I am stuck in a rut.
Trying to take a least one worthy photo which captures the essence of my world that day

Tired Tue Day
I go into the office on Tuesdays. Today was no exception. It's not that I don't like to go in, it's the waking up so early that I don't like. Doesn't help that since the beginning of the year, I can't seem to go to bed at a reasonable hour.
The commute wasn't bad. It generally isn't when you're on the freeway before 6am. Still, no matter how early, I can't tire of the morning sky.
A pack of electrical towers.
The 55 South to the 405 South exchange. The exit for work is just ahead. I love how I captured the side rail in the rear view mirror. The pictures from my car are pure look. I keep my eyes on the road, just hold the phone up, snap and hope for the best. I've learned to gauge when I need to snap.
It's the first night in a long time that I didn't take any evening pictures. I was tired and it was nice to just hang out with Brie, even if we were just being lazy bums on the couch. I needed that.

Things that Make My Heart Putter
I don't know why, but I've been having a thing for power towers. When I think about it, there has always been some intrigue and magic for me. As a little girl I would watch them as we drove down highways and wonder what would it be like to climb them. I would imagine myself, sometimes alone, sometimes with friends scaling up the narrow metal.
Now I just satisfy my curiosity by taking pictures of them, stopping in the middle of the street, driving my daughter crazy.

Sweet Sweet Thursday
I didn't change out of my pajamas until almost 2pm today. It's one of the perks of working from home. I was on conference calls for most of the days so I didn't even get out of the house until close to 3pm.
Brie came home and wanted to go to an early dinner. We agreed upon BJ's.
Since I had a late lunch, I had a strawberry beignet and she had a chicken caesar salad. Followed by a chocolate chunk pi'zookie
It was so lovely to have some alone time with her.
After we finished dinner, I dropped her off at home and went to take some pictures in the evening light.
I don't know why, but I've been in love with power poles lately.
I headed to Whittier and pulled off the road to take this picture. I've been wanting to do this for the longest time.
Then I went back to Whittier Blvd to snap a few of a motel sign that I noticed yesterday.
Then back to old town Whittier to get a picture of Rick's Drive Thru sign.
As I was getting in my car, I noticed the sun in my side mirrors. I love the sun flare, but note to self...wash your car!
