Went to bed exhausted, but slept surprisingly good despite the headache that came on after the end of a day of fun. It was a beautiful spring morning so cool and fresh outside. I cracked the sliding glass door open and could feel the breeze and hear the birds sing as I worked.
I loved the way the sun rays showered light upon my flowers.
Enjoyed a cup of coffee with my cupcake. When I opened it up, I found a rainbow inside. It was a lovely surprise.
Got a lot done at work. It was a good Monday. Looking forward to the rest of the week.
Trying to take a least one worthy photo which captures the essence of my world that day

Feeling Like Friday
It was a good day. Productive at work and got enough done that I could log off at precisely 4:04pm and not feel guilty. My Picture B&W class assignment was to take architectural photographs. Since I couldn't "see" the last assignment, I was determined to not let this one slide by.
First stop, Brea...
Yes, I went a little crazy.
Okay, not quite right. None of the pictures really fit the bill, but I liked them anyway.

Next up, Fullerton....
Bettah!
Then continued on to Santa Ana. Didn't get many shots and still not quite right, but I'm definitely going back. Next time though, I need to bring change so I can park for longer than 16 minutes.

On the drive home...
And the best shot of the day...

The Drive
I got up exactly six minutes early with the intention of stopping on the way to work to capture the rising sun bouncing off a few buildings. I know that wasn't much time, but it was the best I could do. Alas, I was foiled by the rain and, even worse, the dark gray skies.
While slaving away in the office, the skies cleared up, making for a beautiful, albeit congested drive home.
How I wish the skies would stay this blue forever.
Did I mention the commute was congested? No problem, I was able to snap away.
By the time I got home, I just wanted to lay on the couch and nap the night way. After all, I did get up exactly 6 minutes early. But I got a second wind. So glad I did because the evening sky was more than worth it.

Ordinary Day
It was an ordinary day. But it was also a good day.
Went crazy taking pictures of the sunrise on the way to work.

Got a picture of a plane taking off for some unknown destination.
Arrived at work just minutes before my boss.
Last meeting of the day went overtime which meant a long ride home, stuck in traffic. So I took pictures of planes coming in for a landing.
They were lined up like Space Mountain at Disneyland.

On Wednesday the Rain Came Down
Been loving the rain this year. It doesn't go on for days, the rain does its duty and then the sun follows quickly behind, making for deep blue skies filled with clouds full of character.
Yesterday my poor little slug bug was looking pathetic as it was covered, ironically enough, in bug guts, a byproduct of all the driving I've done over the last week.
Thought of taking my poor little baby to the car wash, but I knew the rains were coming. Thought about leaving it outside of the garage last night, but made do with taking it out during lunch time. It didn't pour as much as I was hoping it would, but still she looks better than she did before.
Took a quick break from lunch to treat myself to a cafe mocha and a cinnamon bun...not the best idea.
Got myself some eye candy as I drove to Target to buy some groceries for the week.
And just in case a photo op came along down the aisles of Target...
On the way home.

Wednesday Retrospect
Woke up Wednesday morning in this bright and cheery room which belongs to my niece. Was remembering the long weekend that the whole family came here for an extreme home makeover. This was a beast to paint.
I love how kids just put up anything that's important up on the walls. It's a picture of who they are and what's important to them.
I was so looking forward to our day trip to San Francisco to explore with a camera. I was not disappointed at all. First though, we had to stop at Kaiser because I had forgotten my meds.
The pharmacy was a crazy busy place. The back of it reminded me of a diner, but instead of short order cooks and waitresses, it was pharmacists and clerks. It made me rather sad.
Finally we were on our way to the city.
Two bridges and a $4.00 toll road later....the CITY!!
The only rule...stop anytime you want and take as many pictures as you want.
We walked until we literally felt like we couldn't walk anymore. The weather was perfect, just like it's been all week. Cool, but not too cold. Sunny, with blue skies and white puffy clouds.
There's just too much too see in a day in San Francisco. We tried our best.
At least, there is always next time.
