2013/89 Finding the Energy

It's been a long time since I went into the office for three days in a row. I wanted to come home, sink back into my recliner for a long winter's nap. Except that I had already asked Brie if she wanted to bake cookies and she replied, yes. I was thinking snickerdoodles, she was thinking rich chocolate chip toffee bars. They are deliciously decadent. If you ever wanted to make a friend or win someone over, these will do the trick.

They were worth the energy.

2013/81 The Perks

There are a lot of perks of working from home.

Popping some leftover cookie dough into the oven for fresh homemade cookies at lunchtime was one my perks today.

Instead of Following the Sun...

Twice I intended to head out with camera in hand and see what could inspire me. Instead I stayed home and baked cookies.

It was all worth it though, because it was time spent with her.
