Time with Mom

First a stop at the Apple store to check out the iPads so she can FaceTime with Mason. Next breakfast at my new favorite place to go.

It was good to finally share it with my mom.

A Little Cupcake Love

A busy work day kept my mind busy because under it all, I was still feeling a little down. A little cupcake love and a good chat on the phone with my pop did me wonders.

I'm ready for the weekend.

Ink and Bean

"Forgive my poor job at making a heart", he apologized as he passed me my mocha. I smiled at his effort. It didn't look like a horribly sorry sight, after all it was in a lovely black cup with a matching saucer.

I'm always happy to find a new coffee house.

From Start to Finish

For not being excited about going back to work, it was a pleasant drive to the office. Unlike most of the country which is going through a deep-freeze, weather reports promised a balmy 79 degree day and the clear azul skies were an indication that promises were going to come true. Halfway through the drive, my heart became as light as a helium filled balloon and a smile crossed my face. It wasn't until I pulled into the parking lot that I heard on the news that January 6th is the most unhappiest day of the year. I didn't let that rain on my parade.

From start to finish it was pretty darn good.

Not Ready

After two weeks off work, I'm still not ready for my vacation to end tomorrow.
