Much Relieved and Very Exhausted
The visit started ominously necessitating a visit to the ER, my heart pounding all the way there. Somewhere during the three hour visit, his rambunctiousness returned, the first sign that there would be a happy ending.
We arrived back at their house, much relieved and very exhausted. Naps were in order.

The Drive Home
My first day back in the office after a month of working from home as I convalescence. I expected that I might have to leave early, but I didn't.

The Poem Corner
I asked for a poem about joy. She pulled a piece of 3 x 5 kraft card stock out, loaded into her typewriter and after a momentary pause began typing away. When she read to me her finished prose, I smiled at its perspection. I walked away, poem in hand, joy in heart.
